The Last Border

It is the biggest humanitarian tragedy since World War II and the milestone that has
marked this century. Millions of refugees are reaching the shores of Europe running away
from violence, terror, death, carrying only what they can in their arms and risking their
lives in a desperate journey by land and sea, only to find a Europe with closed doors. A European Union that answers this desperate call with indifference and bureaucratic obstacles. The result: Millions of human beings are living in jungles of mud, plastique and misery.

Navalquejigo is a small town in the north of Madrid, with a population of between twenty and thirty people, rebuilt on the ruins of an ancient medieval village. The town was founded in the 11th century by groups of villagers from the city of Segovia, located on the plains of the ancient Realm of Castile, however the first settlements in the region date from the 3rd century b.C. Nowadays, it is an occupied land.

It has been many demonstrations, but there is only a protest: The Protest. A call to dignity. A song to freedom.
